If I have insurance, do I need to pay for the COVID test?"No, there is no out-of-pocket cost.

What happens if I do not know my insurance info?We can submit the insurance as no insurance and the Human Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) will run an insurance verification check to see if the patient has private insurance, which we will bill on the patient’s behalf. We may call patients to verify or attempt to get insurance information for billing purposes.

What is your cash pay price per test?COVID-19 Patient Testing Cash Price for the SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR test is $285. COVID-19 Patient Testing Cash Price for the SARS-CoV-2 rapid antigen test is $65.

Is insurance information required?Yes. The COVID-19 test is of no cost to you, regardless of insurance status. If you have health insurance, your health plan is required to pay for approved COVID-19 tests, according to the state of California. By providing your insurance information, this allows reimbursement for the cost of the tests from your insurance company. However, insurance companies cannot in turn bill individuals or charge any co-payments for COVID-19 tests. Your test is of no cost to you.

What if I do not have insurance?If uninsured, the patient has to attest to the unavailability of insurance and will be covered by federal and state funding programs as applicable.

How do I determine the right test for me?The rapid antigen test is administered when the individual has had a close contact exposure to COVID-19 or is symptomatic and is in need of immediate test results. The RT-PCR molecular test is for individuals with no symptoms or developing symptoms.

How are the samples collected?The samples are collected via nasal cavity or saliva.

Does swabbing feel uncomfortable?The healthcare worker will gently insert the swab into the nostril or mouth and rotate it to gather the sample. It shouldn’t hurt or feel too uncomfortable.

Do you use a Q-Tip® for collecting the test sample?No. We use a sterile medical grade flocked nylon swab specifically designed for collecting the test sample.

What material gloves do you use for testing?We use nitrile powder/latex-free gloves for testing.

When will I receive my results after testing?The collected samples are processed and the results are sent to the patient within 24 to 48 hours after the lab receives the collected sample.

How will my test results be sent to me?Test results will be sent electronically via the registered phone number or email.
